Job Summary:

Provide high quality and comprehensive support to the service user to empower rhw to plan, work towards and achieve their outcomes.

Work effectively individually and as part of a team, to achieve service outcomes and actively contribute to the development and smooth running of the service in accordance with local policies and legislation.

Work flexibly to deliver a tenure blind wholesome people and place offer for residents in Housing for older people and specialist housing ensuring the needs of the wider community are met. Manage complex casework including but not limited to safeguarding, domestic abuse, mental health, older people support, hoarding, property condition, mediation and dispute resolution, anti-social behaviour, alcohol and substance misuse.

Provide property management function meeting all health and safety and fire safety and residents safety. Carry out testing and regular inspections of dwellings.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

Work flexibly to deliver high quality of services provided in respect of Later Living schemes and specialist housing and to provide effective out of hours emergency cover, detail to be determined as required by service teams' need and in cognisance of individual circumstances.

To maintain a clear understanding of the objectives, direction and development of the service area to meet changing needs, with particular emphasis on customer relations, continuous service improvement and ensuring that a positive image of the Council is always portrayed.

To contribute towards the development of a culture within the service, which is customer focussed, committed to ensuring value for money and to provide a high standard of customer service, health and safety and the Council's core values.

Essential Experience Required:

Experience of working with elderly and vulnerable people. is essential.

Experience with strong customer focus is essential.

Essential Qualification Required:

A good standard of general education is essential.

Housing related qualification or willingness to undertake professional on the job training is desirable.

Additional information to note:

Working hours: 35 hours per week.

The role is required to be based on site 4 days per week at Sheltered housing Schemes mainly at Brittany House Chantry Close in Enfield EN2. Working 1 day per week at home.

Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Ability and willingness to travel between locations is required.
