  • The post holder will have the necessary track record to collaborate with both external and internal teams of professional specialists, involving them in the design and generation of creative campaigns to engage with the sector. Working with services and the wider marketing team they will identify and employ a range of tactics to achieve high level impact at pace.
  • The post holder will be passionate about how our services can assist educational settings to be outstanding and showcase this in their work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The role will provide a marketing and communications service on behalf of all traded services to educational establishments that is consistent with the values of NYES. This covers the development and implementation of marketing campaigns utilising a range of media including digital, print, social media and events and exhibitions. This includes developing and guarding the reputation of the NYES brand and its services and monitoring communication and engagement activity across NYES.
  • Campaigns will need to be driven by intelligence, ensuring we provide engaging marketing based on the demands of the sector.
  • Campaigns will also be required for internal audiences; engaging with the employee base for NYES – ensuring staff understand our services, values and become advocates of NYES.
  • All campaigns should be consistent with the values of the NYES group and promote these with all audiences.
  • NYES works with a wide range of Heads of Traded service, key support staff, colleagues and partners at all levels, providing strategic advice and guidance, as well as delivering for every traded service in order to boost awareness, knowledge, understanding and take up of the services within the market.
  • Develop effective working relationships with Heads of Traded Service and key officers to improve the performance of the marketing service.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns – learning from outcomes and continuously improving the creation and management of future projects.
  • Work with the wider marketing function to assist with the contracting and commissioning of external specialists when required to support the delivery of effective campaigns.

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of communication tools including CMS, social media tools and email marketing platforms.
  • Good understanding and practical application of communication
  • Understanding the principles underpinning communication with audiences, using different messages and tools.
  • Understanding of the role of communications in large, complex organisations and its role in contributing to strategic goals.

Experience:

  • Experience within a relevant communications field, of delivering projects and campaigns successfully.
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and a range of stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Experience of leading communications projects, in a changing organisational environment, delivering against targets.
  • Experience in supporting and managing campaigns for multiple services concurrently

Qualifications:

  • Formal qualification to degree level or equivalent (level 6) in marketing, communications or related area.

Additional Information:

  • Ability to travel across the County and beyond.
