Job Summary:
Following our recent HMIP inspection , which rated Enfield Youth Justice Service as a good' service and some temporary capacity issues within our quality assurance arm, we are looking for an individual who can join us and hit the ground running, supporting our:
Improvement journey, practice development and quality assurance activities; and
Training and workforce development.
We are looking for a high calibre experienced and motivated youth justice professional who knows what outstanding youth justice service looks like and is able to take the workforce on the journey to help us to achieve excellence. You will be: - Experienced with proven track record delivering positive impact within delivery of Youth Justice Services. - Highly organised, systematic, and tenacious and results driven.
Confident in your knowledge and experience of implementing quality assurance systems and process. - Someone who knows the National Standards and HMIP inspection framework inside out.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
Operationalising YJS quality assurance programme of work, driving service improvement whilst ensuring quality standards are consistently achieved, statutory obligations and procedures are met.
Embedding high quality practice across the service to benefit children who fall within our Youth Justice Service.
Supporting YJS leadership to analyse performance data to ensure statutory processes are timely adhered to and that the service as a whole is highly effective, with the welfare of children and families at the forefront of all decision making.
Escalating practice issues and concerns to the Head/Deputy Head of Service
Leading on development of effective health in justice provision
Essential Experience Required:
Experience of being able to improve and drive the innovative practice of a Youth Offending Service is essential.
Experience of writing high quality reports for a variety of audience is essential.
Experience of testing and evaluating practice, including strong case file auditing skills is essential.
Proven experience of establishing and effectively arranging a multi-disciplinary and partnership working arrangements is essential.
Experience of staff supervision, including task allocations, priority setting etc is essential.
Experience working with high level of emotional literacy, resilience and tenacity is essential.
Essential Qualification Required:
Professional qualification in a relevant discipline (Law, Youth Work, Social Work, Teaching, Probation) is essential.
Recognised Youth Justice accredited training is essential.

Working hours: 35 hours per week.
