Recruitment Officer The role responsibilities: Supporting the Recruitment Lead in the efficient recruitment processes of the Council on a day-to-day basis. To advise managers on all stages of the recruitment and selection process and ensure all recruitment documentation is in line with the Council's policies To place job advertisements on the Council's careers website and/or within a variety of media, taking advice from the Recruitment Lead and ensuring hiring managers as necessary. Undertake all relevant pre-employment checks for appointed candidates, including all relevant correspondence, This includes: identity checks, occupational health checks, right to work checks and employment references. Managing DBS checks working with our 3rd party provider, ensuring timely escalation of disclosures to hiring managers and the Recruitment Lead. Drafting and issuing offer and contracts of employment to successful candidates working to pre-defined SLAs To provide guidance to managers in specific resourcing activities. To maintain and keep the HR system up to date. To input the necessary information at each stage of the recruitment process on the HR System and in spreadsheet databases, in an accurate and timely manner. To ensure timely and accurate maintenance of electronic records. To ensure timely and accurate maintenance of all candidate tracking tools and weekly or ad hoc reporting on numbers in the recruitment process. To ensure candidate details are on the HR system correctly to meet payroll deadlines. We are looking for the following experience and qualifications: Experience with recruitment and on boarding of new employees (essential) Experience of working with Agresso HR system or experience of an HRIS (desirable) Excellent IT skills, with an ability to navigate around various systems and software packages, such as Outlook, MS Office, the internet and databases Excellent organizational skills Good interpersonal, communication and reporting skills.
