Job Summary:

  • The end-to-end strategic delivery of integrated commissioning, transformation and service improvement activity programmes/projects across the London Borough of Bromley (LBB) and NHS Bromley Integrated Commissioning Board (ICB) - with a particular focus on Integrated Community Equipment.
  • Planning, supporting and delivering commissioning projects, leading the development and delivery of high-quality health and social care services applying performance management and contract management.
  • Gathering and analysing a broad spectrum of information from a variety of sources to inform assessment of needs in social care and health services and to map the provision of services, to provide the evidence base for strategic planning and service developments.
  • Producing written briefings and Committee Reports under the direction of the Head of Service and Senior Officers and contribute to written reports and help inform plans being developed by managers.
  • Co-ordinating the involvement of stakeholders, carers, and clients with the development of commissioning strategies specifically but not exclusively in relation to the Integrated Community Equipment Service, to help ensure that commissioning activity is robust, sustainable, and designed and delivered in accordance with needs.
  • Co-ordinating, facilitating and supporting Equipment Prescriber access to the Integrated Equipment Service.
  • Leading and Project Managing any new commissioning arrangements, using Project Management tools and ensuring the effective completion of projects.

Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):

  • Research, benchmarking, data collating and analysis.
  • Contract and performance support and programme management.
  • Development of process documents and procedures.
  • Provide regular performance information and reports to senior managers and Cllrs as required and support in the measure of Key Performance Indicators and their analysis
  • Financial analysis and projection.
  • Interrogate IT systems to determine whether invoices are to be paid.
  • Review and development of contract specification.
  • Prepare Committee reports and briefing papers.
  • Undertake projects and provide project support as required and necessary with continual service review, improvement and renewal.
  • Provide cover for other team members during periods of holiday, sickness or other absence as required.
  • You may be required to work on corporate commissioning projects as directed by your manager.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Division.
  • Be able to assess and understand service reporting requirements and adapt to deliver to those needs.
  • To note and pass on any shortfalls or potential improvements with a view to service improvement.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the functions the work area and be able to explain processes and procedures to colleagues, customers and contractors.
  • Represent the LBB and the ICB with internal/external partners and providers.
  • Be able to organise your own workload and provide support and assistance to colleagues.
  • Be able to export and analyse data, produce reports and have a good understanding of office software packages.
  • To be proactive in keeping up to date with information on services and systems provided internally and externally.
  • Fully and positively participate in the Council's performance, appraisal and development scheme to develop and enhance personal and service performance.
