Job Summary:

The senior compliance and quality assurance Officer will be responsible for taking a proactive approach in supporting Ofsted regulation as per The Supported Accommodation Regulation 2023.

The role will require monitoring and improving the standards of homes for children and young people by undertaking quality assurance visits and ensuring all supported accommodation providers we use are Ofsted Registered as per the above regulation.

The post holder will ensure the highest quality of service delivery in terms of the care, support and health & safety within the homes our children reside in that meets Ofsted's minimum quality standards.

The post holder will play a pivotal role in ensuring placement stability for children in our care, as well as ensuring all homes providers compliance documents and policies are gathered, reviewed and kept securely.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

Lead on regulation of homes / providers to ensure compliance with local and national standards and legislation.

Develop and implement regulatory procedures and frameworks to monitor provider performance and adherence to set guidelines.

Take the lead in quality assuring all homes/ providers by developing and maintaining a rigorous quality assurance system and reviewing this in a timely manner.

Ensure all homes/ accommodation providers adhere to health and safety regulations.

Play a pivotal role in ensuring placement stability for children living in our care.

Essential Experience Required:

Experience of the framework within which social care operates, inclusive of legislation and national guidance and procedures specific to this post is essential.

Extensive experience in a regulatory or quality assurance role within children's services is essential.

Experience of National minimum standards for Children's Social Care, Knowledge and Skills requirements and their implications for practice is essential.

Extensive experience in a regulatory or quality assurance role within children's services or statutory commissioning role is essential.

Essential Qualification Required:

A minimum of an undergraduate related to the field is essential.

Additional information to note:

Working hours: 35 hours per week.

DBS Enhanced check is required for this role.
