6-9 months contract with a Local Authority

Job Summary:

The role sits within the Construction and Facilities Management (FM) category.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

Managing end to end Construction and FM procurement exercises within Local Authority or other equivalent Public Body (including Utilities) which is subject to the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (as amended) and the organisations Procurement Procedures.

Running a Tender Process on an electronic Procurement Portal. Experience of - setting up projects in the system and knowledge of workflows and activities within.

managing complex and high profile end-to-end' procurement process without supervision.

Manage and support the development of Category officers.

Essential Experience Required:

Minimum of 2 Years experience of managing end to end Construction and FM procurement exercises within Local Authority or other equivalent Public Body (including Utilities) which is subject to the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (as amended) and the organisations Procurement Procedures is essential.

At least two years' experience of using the JCT Suite of contracts is essential.

At least two years' experience of applying PCR 2015 or advising clients to ensure compliant procurement processes is essential.

Minimum of 2 Years work experience undertaking the assembly of Tender Packs (Invitation To Tender / Request for Quotation) is essential.

Experience working with Client Project Teams / Internal Departments (Legal / Insurance / Data Officers / etc) to assist with drafting documents with the Client Project Team and ensure the Tender Packs are complete with all relevant information (including weightings and sub-criteria), all as supported and guided is essential.

Essential Qualification Required:

General education qualification is essential.

Additional information to note:

Working hours: 35 hours per week.

This is predominantly a hybrid working assignment; likely to be at least 1 day in the office and as and when required.
