Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join our busy and vibrant team in Milton Keynes.Ideally, you will have at least 3 years payroll experience with a payroll technician certification or working towards, and demonstrate experience in working in a high volume environment.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage team and workload to ensure all work is processed in a timely manner
  • Accurately check other administrators work to ensure 100% accuracy in all input.
  • Training and mentoring of team
  • Manage the upload of Leaver planner, bulk absence and exceptions
  • Month end reporting (Costing, Staff listing etc.)
  • Ensure all exception reports are checked pre payroll run
  • Ensure all variable data has been accurately input for the payroll run and balanced at final checking stage
  • Ensure that all pre Gross to net checks are performed to a high degree of accuracy and feedback is provided to Manager where repetitive issues are spotted.
  • (not checking as this should be done by specialist) Approve faster payment calculations from the administrators for payment outside of the normal payroll.
  • Ensuring awareness of internal and external audit items that are raised when auditors have been in, to ensure that you are aware of any process changes.
  • Complete pension reconciliations
  • Teams escalated queries
